The Deck TOOK a BARE STUDIO AND TURNED AN online, virtual event INTO a stunning, three-day, as-live studio production complete with broadcast quality titles and packaging, scripting and full post production.

Directed by Jon Moore at The Deck and produced by Branded and Yup, the PVP ESPORTS SUPERGAMERFEST 2020 powered by Singtel and Globe featured a five-day eSports festival and regional gaming awards show.

The set and lighting, designed by Jon Moore, turned the empty space into the ultimate gamers’ bro-cave.

Hosts Sezairi and Victoria Cheng introduced interviews with leading eSports industry personalities, gaming segments featuring regional gamers and streamers and the main event - the 2020 PVP eSports SuperGamerFest Awards.

Following an initial recce, we used Sketchup to help design the set and create screenshots and walkthroughs to show our client how we intended to convert the space.

In less than a day, we turned the studio into a stunning bro-cave complete with two gaming setups, retro gaming deco, a projected in-show display and plenty of brand placement.

Meanwhile back at base, we were busy creating the show titles, awards packaging, animations and game highlights. All while remotely producing and directing video contributions from talent all over the region.

The three-day show featured gameplay segments with regional eSports personalities facing off in Among Us and Human Fall Flat, plus interviews with stars including Team OG and Alex Albon from Aston Martin Red Bull Racing.

There were plenty of free giveaways from sponsors including XTRFY, Huawei, Twitch, and appearances by products from Royale Ergonomics, Red Bull, Aftershock, Prism+ and many more.
