OFF WE GO, AROUND THE WORLD AGAIN WITH BRITISH COUNCIL. THIS TIME WE’RE IN KENYA, EGYPT and uk, AND NO PASSPORT REQUIRED.
The Deck was remote again, this series of videos will promote the British Council’s initiative to support universities spearheading initiatives to advance gender equality in higher education.
The shoots took place at Kenyatta University in Nairobi, The Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in Alexandria, Egypt and at their partners, Coventry University and University of Warwick in the UK.
Jon Moore at The Deck directed and interviewed remotely from his base in Hong Kong.
For each of the Africa shoots, we flew our Dubai-based Director of Photography, Stephen Moro out to take care of things on the ground. We hired a local fixer in each city to take care of transport and any gear that Steve couldn’t carry with him.
The UK shoots in Coventry and Warwick were taken care of by one of our UK-based DoPs, George Ramsay.
Thanks to Jacqueline and Qi at Shape Creative and to Alex Brighton at British Council for being by our side the whole way.
